How this is built
The industry figures above come from AMFI's official SIF Monthly Report, published as a spreadsheet for every month since the category began. Each month is a whole-industry snapshot taken at the same month-end, which is what makes the month-on-month comparisons here valid.
The fund-level section is a different thing and is labelled as such. AMFI's monthly report does not break AUM down to individual schemes, so those figures come from each fund house's own portfolio disclosure. Houses file on a staggered, roughly bi-monthly cycle, so each fund is shown with the date its number actually applies to, and they do not sum to the industry total.
